The Bohemian Inn is a circa 1872 Victorian Inn located in the heart of Saugerties (named one of the best small towns in America). It is perfectly situated on Partition Street, a historic and residential street just up the block from excellent dining and shopping (no need to drive to bars or restaurants!). It is the absolute best location in town! Only a short drive to hiking, antiquing, canoeing, leaf-peeping, waterfalls/swimming holes, skiing and other outdoor adventure. Saugerties is host to the famous Garlic Festival, HITS horse shows and one of the screening venues for the Woodstock film festival. If Saugerties is not enough to keep you captivated, the Inn is only 10 miles from quirky Woodstock and a short drive to Rhinebeck (including OMEGA), Tivoli (Bard College), Kingston, Phoenicia and Hudson. Total Tennis (a tennis camp) is only 3 miles away and HITS horse shows is just 1 mile away.
The Inn is a perfect blend of historic and soulful charm, reflecting a love for both the Hudson Valley and the eternally fascinating world we live in. It is furnished with antiques from around the world, transporting you to far away places. Each room is aptly named after an exotic city of which its decor is reminiscent. Enjoy Nespresso Coffee/Fine Teas and a light continental breakfast. In the warmer months, sit on the porch or yard and watch the world go by with a complimentary glass of wine.
The owner, Stephanie, is a world traveler, photographer, treasure hunter, oenophile, artist, and hopefully your new friend! She can't wait to share all of her favorite spots in Saugerties and the Hudson Valley, including where to get fine chocolate, your caffeine fix, a good read (spoiler alert: Inquiring Minds Bookstore right across the street from the Inn), a movie at a vintage movie theater or the perfect cocktail. Although she is not a native, she gave up her life in Brooklyn and Manhattan because of her love for the house and her deep and utter enchantment with the area.
